Ready to Start? Here's How We Work Together

Life coaching isn’t therapy, and it isn’t advice-giving either. It’s a structured, forward-focused partnership where you set the direction and I help you get there. Every session is built around you: your goals, your values, your pace, and your faith and values, wherever you’re coming from.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Is This You?

We also work with teens (12–17) with parental consent and the young person’s own willingness to engage.

IMPORTANT NOTE

A Note on Coaching vs. Therapy

Coaching is not a substitute for mental health treatment. If you’re experiencing a mental health crisis, trauma, or require clinical support, I’d encourage you to connect with a licensed therapist or counsellor. I’m happy to help point you in the right direction.

THE PROCESS

How It Works

Step 1 — Free Consultation

A no-pressure 15-minute call available Friday evenings and weekends. Get to know each other and make sure we’re a good fit. No commitment required. Book directly through the link below.

Step 2 — Your First Session

A 60-minute session focused on what you’re working through. You set the direction — I bring the structure and tools.

Step 3 — Keep Going

Most clients find a 5-session commitment gives enough space to go deep and see real change. We check in regularly to make sure it’s working.

YOUR COACH

Abdikarim Jimale

I’m a Black Muslim professional and Master of Social Work (MSW) graduate with lived experience navigating identity, faith, and personal growth. I founded Sakina because I know what it’s like to be figuring it all out without a space that truly gets where you’re coming from. My coaching is culturally responsive and grounded in both evidence-informed practice and a deep respect for your values and background.
